Penton Farms - Sugar Hill Farms

Verbena, Alabama

Penton Farms is a fourth-generation family farm in Verbena, Alabama operated by Scott and Rachell Penton, with over 150 acres including 6,000+ peach trees and large strawberry plantings. Through its Sugar Hill U-Pick operation, visitors can pick their own strawberries (and some vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, kale, onions, and collards) or buy pre-picked buckets. The farm also runs a fall pumpkin patch with concessions and picnic areas, and sells at farmers markets including Pepper Place, Eastchase, and Millbrook.
