The Alabama Farmers Market is a farmer-operated cooperative established in 1921, spanning 49 acres in Birmingham. It serves as both a wholesale and retail produce marketplace, with about 100 member growers from across Alabama. Visitors can buy fresh local and seasonal produce, including at on-site retailers The Peach Barn and Evelyn's Produce, which accept EBT, cash, and most credit and debit cards. Seasonal produce is sold early in the morning under Sheds 1, 8, 9 and 10.

Hours: Open to the public 7 days a week, 365 days a year; most vendors open 5am-7pm, with 24-hour summer hours. Office hours Monday-Friday 6am-2pm.
