Double L Ranch is a small working cattle ranch about 24 miles east of Santa Margarita, set between two mountain ranges near the headwaters of the Salinas River. It offers a farmstay in a two-bedroom, one-bath guest house ("The Bunkhouse") with a fully equipped kitchen, heating/AC, TV, and laundry. Guests can hike the cattle trails, watch wildlife along Avenales Ranch Road, relax on the porch, or bring their own horses (pipe corrals with shelters are available). It is geared toward a quiet adult getaway.
