City Commons CSA
Detroit, Michigan
City Commons CSA is a cooperative of Detroit farms, formed in 2012, that offers community-supported agriculture shares sourced from multiple local growers. Members buy seasonal shares and receive weekly boxes of farm-fresh produce during the growing season. The participating farms use sustainable practices with no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides or GMO crops, and soil-test their land. Shares can include mixed vegetables, salad greens, heirloom tomatoes, carrots, peppers, root crops, mushrooms, and cut flowers. Payment-plan options are offered to make the food accessible.
