Thunder Moon Farms is a small farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northwest North Carolina focused on alpaca breeding, lavender cultivation, and beekeeping. Visitors can buy dried lavender buds, dried bundles, and starter plants, with 10 varieties grown for culinary buds, fresh and dried floral, crafts, and oils. The farm breeds show-quality alpacas. Lavender blooms run from early June through July.
