The Wilkesboro Open Air Market is an outdoor market held in downtown Wilkesboro, in the town-owned parking area adjacent to the Wilkes Heritage Museum on W. Main Street. Farmers and artisans gather to sell fresh-from-the-farm produce and handcrafted products. The market runs on Friday afternoons during the warm-season months and includes special programming on certain Fridays, such as live music and free shag dancing lessons on the first Friday of the month.
